After using QuickBook for four years, I have understood that there is a new upcoming error with every update. This time it was QuickBooks Error 6143, and here’s how to resolve it -
Close all QuickBooks windows.
Navigate to the folder that holds the QuickBooks files. The folder’s location should look like C:\ Users \ Public\ Public Documents\ Intuit\ QuickBooks\ Company Files.
Look for the right company file and hover over it.
Click right on it and choose to Rename.
5.Remove any extra spaces in the file’s name, as they take up extra storage and create trouble.
Check if the company file's name is not more than 64 characters, including the extension of 4 characters (.QBW).
Close the window and reopen QuickBooks.
